Open in August 2018, the cottage La Poiraie is a recently built property, designed from the outset to offer our guests a comfortable, welcoming, and high-quality stay in the heart of Normandy.
Comfort at the Heart of the Cottage’s Design
From the very beginning of the cottage’s design, the layout of the spaces was planned around a priority that was essential to us: to provide everyone with true comfort while preserving everyone's privacy.
Drawing on our experience in renting furnished vacation rentals, we know how much the quality of the spaces and their layout contribute to an enjoyable stay. That’s why we’ve chosen to design Each room has its own shower room and private restroom.
After a day of hiking, exploring Normandy, or simply when it’s time to leave, everyone can enjoy their own space in complete peace and quiet, without having to wait for the only shower room to become available or plan your stay around other people's schedules.
We have also paid special attention to accessibility. Having a bedroom on the ground floor was a given for us, especially when traveling as a family with elderly parents or people with limited mobility. This room features a wide opening for easy movement, as well as a a shower room designed to offer greater comfort and ease of use.
At La Poiraie, we wanted to create much more than just a vacation spot: A comfortable, practical, and welcoming space, designed to ensure that moments shared with family or friends remain, above all, moments of enjoyment.

A Passion to Share
Beekeeping is, above all, a passion that Marc loves to share. Just a short walk from the guesthouse, in a pristine environment that fosters biodiversity, he maintains his own apiary and cares for his bees throughout the seasons.
This setting in the heart of nature also offers visitors the opportunity to discover a fascinating, often little-known world, where each season sets the pace of life in the colony. From the blooming of the first flowers to the work of the bees, and including the harvesting of honey, beekeeping offers a wonderful way to better understand the nature around us.
If you're curious to explore this world, Marc will be happy to to share his knowledge and experience with you, simply through a conversation or, when the circumstances allow, by offering you a tour of the apiary.
